Residents of Matsudo is a participatory exhibition of other living beings in Matsudo, Japan. Held in a cafe located in the city center, the exhibition evolves as more and more participants contribute photographs (of plants, insects, or animals in Matsudo), house plants, and their presence in this living exhibition and gathering.

 

Some participants were asked to send photographs in advance but throughout the duration of the project, cafe goers and passersby were also able to participate since a portable instant photo printer was used. Participants also wrote a note about the story of their contribution and was exhibited alongside it.
